Laurence jenkell & youn cho at la réserve de beaulieu — Exhibition until 31 october — A selection by galerie androt & fils
In keeping with its curatorial approach, androt & fils gallery is presenting an exhibition at la réserve de beaulieu bringing together the sculptors laurence jenkell and youn cho, from 27 march to 31 october.
Overlooking the mediterranean, in a setting where every detail embodies a refined art of living, the works blend perfectly with its environment. True to the gallery’s vision, the selection highlights a sensitive dialogue between the works and their surroundings.
Laurence jenkell’s famous bonbons are displayed here with great intensity. These monumental sculptures, born from a reflexion on childhood, embody an energy that is both vibrant and deeply symbolic.
In contrast, the works of sculptor youn cho express a poetics of life. Through material imbued with vitality and delicately shaped forms, she evokes the breath of life, balancing between bursts of energy, fragility and suspended moments.
Both artists, represented by androt & fils gallery, share the same sensibility: a refined eye for works that take on their full meaning within the spaces that host them.
